In a moment of pride and celebration, the Tunisia Badminton Federation has been honoured with the Africa Shuttle Time Award 2024, a prestigious recognition presented by the Badminton Confederation Africa (BCA). In an effort to make Airbadminton, popular as the main stream badminton, Uganda badminton Association has partnered with Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA). "Badminton is now among the sports activities that are being examined as a PE Sport, under the Uganda National Education Board, and therefore as the National Governing body it is our obligation to technically facilitate the schools in this area of growth so that schools adopt the sport for both academic and recreation purposes." CEO Uganda Badminton Association, Simon Mugabi.

Uganda and Africa’s Para-badminton number one seed Sarah Nazziwa is our star  of the day. Nazziwa was diagnosed with a life-changing spinal infection during her senior four back in 2010.

After enduring months of anguish, countless medical evaluations and treatment programs, she became wheelchair bound.
